Electricity North West says it was too windy on Sunday for their lads to get up the poles and fix the overhead lines. So they've put the worst case down as 6pm on Tuesday 27 October, and they'll bring that forward once the wind drops enough to climb. In the meantime they're switching what they can from the control room.

Alan Astall, their head of network control, said: "We know it is difficult to be without power, especially if you rely on it for medical equipment or have other needs, so if you need any additional support, please contact us and let us know so we can help."
What you can do: ring 105, it's free from any phone, or use the power cut checker on enwl.co.uk. Keep well away from any lines that are down and report them on 105. Trains might still be messed about till the end of today, and there's another yellow wind warning for Tuesday.
