Town Women's first round proper tie in the Women's FA Cup against Mancunian Unity should have been on Sunday. It got called off on Saturday because of the amber warning and the wind, to keep players, fans and volunteers safe.

The FA's fixture list now has it on Sunday 1 November, 2pm kick-off, at home. Cumbria Crack says any tickets you've already bought will still count.

It's the first time Town Women have ever had a home tie at this stage. They're a Tier Six side and have battled through four qualifying rounds to get here, beating two Tier Six teams from the North East and then Tier Five Doncaster Rovers Belles last time out.

According to the Crack, they're one of only eight of the lowest-ranked Tier Six clubs left, out of 96 still in it. Mancunian Unity are a league above and sitting second in the North West Women's Regional Premier Division, so it's a proper test.

The club's also made the point that both sides are women's football clubs through and through, which you don't see often in a cup tie.

It's at the Fibrus Community Stadium in Workington.

What you can do: hang on to your ticket from last week, it's good for Sunday. Keep an eye on the club's own pages nearer the day in case the weather has another go.

Cumbria Crack reports that Town are one of only eight of the lowest-ranked Tier Six clubs still in the competition, with 96 clubs left at this stage. Their opponents, Mancunian Unity, play a division higher and sit second in the North West Women's Regional Premier Division.

The club has pointed out that both teams run only women's football, so the tie is a rare meeting of two clubs built entirely around the women's game.

The game is at the Fibrus Community Stadium in Workington.

What you can do: if you have a ticket for last Sunday, keep it, as it will be valid next week. Check the club's own channels nearer the day in case the weather causes any more problems.
