Cumbria Police Mobile Speed Camera Locations Announced for Monday 29 June
Mobile safety camera van — Salterbeck Road, Workington area

Keep your foot off the floor today, marras — the camera vans are out in Salterbeck, on the road to Aspatria, and down by Maryport. Full list below.

Keep your foot off the floor today, marras, because Cumbria Police have put out exactly where the mobile camera vans are sitting — and there's plenty around West Cumbria on Monday 29 June.

According to the force, vans will be operating in:

Salterbeck — so watch it around the Beck if you're cutting through to town.

The A596 between Workington and Aspatria — the main drag north, don't get caught rushing for work.

The B5300 between Maryport and Silloth — coastal road through Allonby, proper speed trap territory.

Whitehaven — in and around town.

The A5086 between Egremont and Oakhurst — heading up toward the fells.

They're also out in Wigton and on the B5302 between Silloth and Wigton if you're travelling further afield.

The police put this list out every day to try and get folk to slow down before someone gets hurt — not just to nab you doing 38 in a 30. That said, the last thing anyone needs is three points and a fine landing on the mat because you were running late for the school run.

This is today's list only — Monday 29 June. It'll be different tomorrow, so don't treat this like gospel for the rest of the week.

Cumbria Police have published today's mobile speed camera van locations — including Salterbeck, the A596 between Workington and Aspatria, and the B5300 between Maryport and Silloth.

Cumbria Police have confirmed where their mobile Road Safety Camera vans will be operating today, Monday 29 June 2026.

A force spokesperson said: "Today our Road Safety Camera vans will be operating in Salterbeck, the A596 between Workington and Aspatria, Wigton, the B5300 between Silloth and Wigton, the B5300 between Maryport and Silloth, Whitehaven and the A5086 between Egremont and Oakhurst."

For West Cumbria motorists, the key enforcement areas today are:

Salterbeck — local residential routes in the Workington area.

A596 between Workington and Aspatria — the main arterial route north from Workington.

B5300 between Maryport and Silloth — the coastal road through Allonby and Mawbray.

Whitehaven — town and surrounding routes.

A5086 between Egremont and Oakhurst — the road toward the western fells.

County-wide deployments also include Wigton and the B5302 between Silloth and Wigton.

Cumbria Police publish these locations daily as part of an ongoing road safety programme. The force reminds drivers that speed limits are absolute maximums, not targets, and that enforcement is intended to reduce collisions in known problem areas.

This list applies to Monday 29 June 2026 only. Locations change daily — check Cumbria Police and local news updates for tomorrow's deployments.
