The Reds have gone back to Morecambe for another loan, 18-year-old defender Adam Fairclough, for 28 days to start with, just before Saturday's FA Trophy tie with Cleethorpes.

This one's for Reds fans ahead of Saturday's FA Trophy tie at home to Cleethorpes Town.

Workington AFC have signed defender Adam Fairclough from Morecambe on loan for 28 days to start with, as long as the league and the FA sign it off. The club announced it on Thursday night. It's Billy Barr's second loan from Morecambe in a week, after goalkeeper Alfie Scales, who made his debut in the 2-1 win at Bamber Bridge last Saturday.

Fairclough's 18 and came up through Morecambe's youth set-up into their first team. He scored his first senior goal in the EFL when he was only 16 and has played seven games for Morecambe in League Two. He's also had a loan at Lancaster City, so he knows the Northern Premier League. Cumbria Crack says he's coming for more first-team football and to give the Reds more options at the back while the injuries keep piling up.

A Reds spokesman said: "We'd like to thank Morecambe FC for their co-operation in arranging the loan and wish Adam every success during his time at Workington."

It's been a busy week for managers in the league too. Jamie Milligan has stood down at Bamber Bridge after losing to the Reds, after being in charge since December 2019. Hyde United have parted ways with Michael Clegg and brought Nick Spooner back as manager.

What you can do: get yourself down to the Fibrus Community Stadium (Borough Park) for 3pm on Saturday 24 October for the FA Trophy tie with Cleethorpes Town. Tickets are on the club's website, and the team news goes up there too.
